About Enginuity

LOADING

Enginuity was started in 1986 by its two business partners Jerry Humphreys & Mark Pattinson. Jerry & Mark met at Maidstone College both attending an automotive technicians course. Jerry worked at Lenham Motor Co restoring and building classic cars, whist Mark was working on modern cars of the day.

After serving their apprenticeships, Mark worked for a restoration company in Maidstone & Jerry went to London to work for a TR specialist. When the TR garage relocated it left a void in the market for the two ( very ) young mechanics to start Enginuity.

The first workshop was a railway arch in Hammersmith which quickly grew to two & then to three arches. In the early years it was all kinds of classic cars with preference to Triumphs, but with time the reputation was established & Triumph TR's & TVR's came to the fore.

In late 1998 the opportunity came to relocate in the current location of South Acton. It was a big step at the time, as it was twice the size of the arches in Hammersmith. Once over the initial shock of moving, the company has gone from strength to strength with the addition of a separate bodyshop & eventually a full spraybake oven.

An offer was made of a good Sun Rolling Road Dynomometer & it was grabbed with both hands !! with the installation & now TAT software the rolling road has proved invaluable. Especially with the already proven race & rally modifications that Enginuity have been carrying out.

Enginuity offer the complete service from an initial free check over to a full rally prepared car, we can complete all of the work
" in - house " so quality remains in the control of the company & not of some 'sub - contractor ' .
Now celebrating over 30 years in business Enginuity has now become a name to be associated with high quality repairs and modifications for all classic & sportscar owners from all over Europe.
